How to get Admin Access to Rental Laptops


First, sign into the laptop with NMSU credentials. It is highly recommended that you sign into Company Portal first, and you must use your NMSU credentials. The steps below require a stable internet connection.


Step 1

In the search bar type, "Company Portal" and open the app:

Step 2

Once in Company Portal select, "Show All" in the Apps section:

Step 3

Select the app, "Promote user to Admin."

Step 4

Choose "Install."

The laptop will restart once this is installed. After you sign in, you should have admin privileges.
