Beware of social engineering! This is an attack on the mind of a user instead of their device. When hackers can't exploit a security vulnerability, they may try using information publicly available online to dupe you into giving them access to your systems and private info.

Cybersecurity Tip 8: Secure your mobile device. Do not automatically connect to public wi-fi. Use strong passwords and biometric features. Always download with caution. Ensure you turn off bluetooth.

Cybersecurity Tip 7: Phone Tips. Always lock your phone with a code or password. Update and back up your phone often. Install the 'Find my device' app on your phone. Alert your phone provider if your phone goes missing ASAP!

Clicking without thinking is reckless. Just because you can click, doesn't mean you should. Malicious links can do damage in several ways, so be sure to inspect links and ensure they're from trusted senders.

Two Factor Authentication provides two layers of security measures. If a hacker can guess your passphrase, there is still an additional measure in place to ensure your account is not breached!

Follow these steps to access Microsoft Office 365 for free! Login to myNMSU and select Office 365 Apps in the quick launch menu. Select Install Apps, followed by Microsoft 365 apps in the top-right corner. Download and follow set-up instructions for access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more!
